As Head of Logistics (m/f/d), you will take overall responsibility for the further development of our logistics structures – from internal warehousing and international goods flows to the management of external logistics partners. Warehouse Development & Infrastructure
- Take responsibility for the further development and professionalization of our internal warehouse and logistics structures
- Lead the planning, setup, and implementation of a new warehouse site – from requirements definition and layout planning through to operational go-live
- Develop scalable warehouse processes and capacity concepts for inbound, storage, picking, packing, replenishment, and outbound operations
- Evaluate and implement suitable warehouse technologies, automation solutions, and operational standards
- Optimize warehouse productivity, inventory accuracy, space utilization, throughput, costs, and operational stability
- Ensure sufficient warehouse capacity to support growth, seasonal peaks, promotions, and product launches
2. International Logistics & Network Development
- Develop scalable logistics structures to support the continued international expansion of IronMaxx
- Build and optimize our international forwarding, warehousing, and distribution network
- Develop future-proof logistics concepts for new countries, customers, and sales channels across B2B, B2C, and Retail
- Manage and optimize international goods flows from production to the customer
- Evaluate make-or-buy decisions and define the optimal combination of internal warehouse structures and external 3PL partners
- Select, negotiate with, manage, and monitor the performance of international logistics and forwarding partners
- Ensure delivery reliability and compliance with customs, export, dangerous goods, and international shipping requirements
3. Supply Chain Interfaces & Operational Excellence
- Take ownership of logistics interfaces across the entire Supply Chain – from production and inbound logistics through warehousing to final delivery
- Optimize collaboration between Supply Chain, Production, Procurement, Sales, DTC, Retail, Finance, and Operations
- Establish clear responsibilities as well as structured planning, handover, communication, and escalation processes
- Work closely with Supply Chain and Sales on demand planning, product availability, capacity requirements, and distribution priorities
- Ensure logistics requirements are integrated early into production planning, promotions, product launches, and international expansion projects
- Continuously identify and resolve bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and operational risks
- Build robust and scalable processes to ensure seamless material and information flows across the entire Supply Chain
4. Leadership, Controlling & Performance Management
- Lead, develop, and professionalize the logistics organization and build the structures required for the next phase of growth
- Establish clear responsibilities, ownership, and performance standards across the team
- Develop and manage relevant logistics KPIs covering delivery reliability, warehouse productivity, inventory accuracy, costs, lead times, capacity, and service levels
- Take responsibility for logistics budgets, cost structures, and the implementation of efficiency and optimization programs
- Establish structured performance reviews for internal logistics operations and external service providers
- Use data and operational insights to drive continuous improvement and investment decisions
- Represent Logistics in strategic company projects and management decisions and act as a strong cross-functional sparring partner
Your skillset - as strong as our protein
- Several years of professional and leadership experience in Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Distribution, or Supply Chain, ideally within an FMCG environment
- Proven experience in the development, setup, expansion, or optimization of warehouse sites
- Experience in international logistics, freight forwarding management, warehouse networks, and 3PL management
- Good knowledge of customs, export, dangerous goods, and international shipping processes
- Experience in KPI-based management, budgeting, and cost optimization
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- High level of ownership, execution strength, and decision-making ability
- Hands-on mindset combined with strategic and entrepreneurial thinking
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-growing business environment
- Good working knowledge of SAP
